Simone Biles

Simone Biles (born on March 14, 1997 Columbus Ohio U.S.A.) American Gymnast widely regarded as one of the best athletes. The 2016 Olympics were held in Rio de Janeiro and Biles was one of the U.S.'s only female gymnast ever to win 4 gold medals. She also won the title of world champion for all-around, three times in succession (2013-15). Biles was born in Spring Texas, in the Houston metro region. Biles and her sister Adria had been adopted by Ronald Biles and Nellie Biles. Simone's interest in gymnastics began at age six after a visit with her day-care group to Bannon Gymnastix. Simone remained in the hands of Aimee Borman as coach until 2011. Biles was awarded a gold medal in the floor and bronze in vault during the Women's Junior Olympic National Championships in 2010 before breaking into the elite level of competition in the year 2011. In just two short years, she had become the top athlete in her field. What stood Biles apart was her consistency her fun-loving personality, as well as the level of challenge she integrated into her routines in the four events she competed in: vault uneven bars balance beam and floor exercise.
